Hiking for Health and History 2008

Friends of the Macdonell-Williamson House Inc. is pleased to announce that another “Hiking for Health & History”, project is underway. The non-profit heritage organization is working to bring you another unique bilingual map of the Lower Ottawa River Region which will display various historic buildings and highlight activities that citizens can enjoy while discovering “their own backyard”. This year’s route can be traveled west from Hawkesbury, through L’Orignal, Alfred, Lefaivre, Plantagenet, Wendover to Rockland on the South shore, and then crossing on the ferry at Cumberland, and continuing east from Thurso, through Plaisance, Papineauville, Montebello, Fassett, Pointe-au-Chêne, Calumet to Grenville on the North Shore.
